A bomb has exploded on Shara-e-Pakistan, a road between Karimabad and Ayesha Manzil area of Karachi.
The blast occurred moments after the MQM Jalsa concluded.
According to sources, the bomb blast occurred near a bus that was carrying passengers back from the MQM rally, on Shara-e-Pakistan.
Eyewitnesses say that the bomb was planted in a motorbike, and exploded as the bus full of passengers came near it.
It is speculated that the explosion was of massive intensity, as it was heard in areas like Gulshan-e-Iqbal; all the way to Quaid-e-Azam’s Mazar and Garden.
Just minutes after the blast, all business activity has been shut down near the area of the blast and various other parts of the city that are in close proximity.
As of now, 10 people have been reported as injured. While one person has was pronounced died. Rescue agencies are dispatching the injured to Abbasi Shaheed hospital.
The bus that was targeted was leaving for Orangi Town unit and carried more than two dozen passengers.
