LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed to stop sale and purchase of deadly Tyno syrup immediately, which caused over two dozen deaths in Punjab.
In a petition seeking ban on the deadly syrup, LHC has also issued notices to the concerned authorities to inform the court regarding the measures taken for the safety of patients.
The petition was moved by Judicial Activism Panel Chairman Muhammad Azhar Siddique and Traders Welfare Organisation of Tolinton Market Lahore President Muhammad Tariq Javed, stating that 33 deaths from the cough syrup occurred in Gujranwala and Kamoke areas.
the doctors were also directed not to prescribe Tyno syrup to their patients.
