ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Saturday announced 1 million each for the victims of Quetta blast that took lives of over 120 people.
He also announced Rs. 1 lakh for the injured people. He moreover ordered that C-130s be sent to Quetta in order to shift the wounded to Karachi for medical treatment.
‘Policing powers to FC’
Following a meeting with Interior minister Rehman Malik, PM issued the orders to delegate policing powers to the Frontier Corps (FC) in Quetta.
PM Ashraf directed Frontier Constabulary (FC) to assist the Balochistan government in maintaining peace and controlling the law and order situation in the province
‘Conversation with Governor Balochistan’
Ashraf had a conversation with Balochistan Governor Zulfiqar Magsi and discussed the prevalent security situation in the city. PM Ashraf directed Governor Magsi to protect the families of victims and tackle the ongoing situation in Quetta.
CM Nawab Aslam Raisani was also directed to arrive Quetta from abroad.
PM Ashraf assured Governor Magsi that the federation is ready to help the provincial government in any way to protect the lives of its people.
