ISLAMABAD: Following the absence of IG Sindh Fayyaz Laghari in Shahzeb khan’s Murder case, The Supreme court here Friday ordered the authorities to arrest the murderers else lose their jobs.
As it was reported earlier, IG Sindh has formed a committee to arrest the suspects in the case, however failed to do any progress so far.
He was given a deadline until today but due to a flight delay he failed to appear before the court.
The court heard the case today after taking a suo moto case on the first day of new year (January 1, 2013).
Khan was gunned down on Dec 25, 2012 within the remit of the Darakhshan police station and the Chief Justice of Pakistan has taken sou-moto notice in this case.
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court had taken notice of the murder in Karachi and had issued notices to the Sindh advocate general and the provincial police chief and summoned a report on the case today.
