KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced an indefinite strike until the culprits of Abbas Town blast will not be arrested, reported AAJ NEWS on Wednesday.
During a press conference, MQM leader Raza Haroon read the statement declaring a peaceful though indefinite strike to express mourning for the victims of Abbas Town blast in Karachi.
The leader appealed the workers to remain peaceful during the strike, and asked the business community, transporters to remain shut down.
Haroon also said that, the party has decided to hold a protest campaign until the action has not been taken against those behind the terror attack.
Before the press conference of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, the city observed a complete shut down meanwhile fear gripped the part of Sindh including Hyderabad, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Larkana, Shikarpur, Khairpur.
‘Traders backs MQM strike call’
All Karachi Traders Association has supported the call of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) therefore all the markets will remain closed until the strike doesn’t call off.
Besides, All private school association also announced to closed all the schools in the city.
