KARACHI: Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has sent a summary to Governor Ishrat ul Ibad khan regarding the dissolution of Sindh Assembly on Tuesday, said sources.
Pakistan People’s Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement have finalised Justice (R) Zahid Qurban Alvi for the caretaker Chief minister of Sindh.
The assembly has completed its five year term successfully so it will likely to be dissolved tonight according to the decision earlier taken at a meeting of the four provincial chief ministers with Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in Islamabad.
The PPP had earlier suggested the names of Justices (retd) Deedar Hussain Shah, Hamid Ali Mirza and Zahid Quraban Alvi for the post. The MQM has proposed the names of Justices (retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid, Dr Ghous Mohammad, Muneeb Ahmed Khan, Mahmood Alam Rizvi and Barrister Habib-ur-Rehman.
Both the parties including MQM and the ruling PPP have reached a consensus over the interim setup and the dissolution of assembly is expected to be announced by the governor today.
