QUETTA: An explosion on Friday near a crowded intersection in Dera Allah Yar town of Balochistan’s Jaffarabad district killed six persons including two children and injured at least two dozen others.
The bomb appeared to have been planted in a rickshaw parked at the roadside, according to initial police reports which added that around a dozen shops were damaged in the vicinity.
Emergency and rescue teams reached the site of incident and expressed fears of an increase in the casualty numbers.
All victims were shifted to the District Head Quarters Hospital Dera Allahyar.
” Six persons including two childrens’ dead bodies have been brought to hospital”, Dr Muhammad Saleem Deputy Medical Superintendent at the hospital.
