The High Court of Delhi has rejected to stay the television release of the sequels of Race and Dabangg . The censor board is being criticized by the HC. A bench of Chief Justice D Murugesan and Justice VK Jain has refused the stay, as they have not seen the films and it would be inappropriate to grant the public release without watching them.
The court said, “We are not experts and have not seen the movies. How can we stay the films on the basis of photographs we saw?” The court slammed the censor board by saying that it is having no problem in easily giving certificate to every film.
The appeal was filed against Race 2 for showing nude sequences and some double-meaning dialogues and the petition against Dabangg 2 is to put a ban on the item song Fevicol Se, claiming that it was confrontational. The lawyer for the petitioner said that TV telecast should be stayed so that the flicks can be released on channels during Holi.
