India: Pak has no right to interfere in India’s affairs says Speaker Meira Kumar and passes resolution condemning Pak’s statement on Afzal Guru’s hanging.
The draft prepared to condemn Pakistan’s resolution on Afzal Guru’s execution, reportedly mentioned that Kashmir is a part of India and Pakistan has no right to interfere in the affairs of India.
“We are deeply concerned by the resolution passed by the Pakistan parliament. I request the Speaker to move a resolution rejecting Pakistan’s,” says Kamal Nath.
Speaker Meira Kumar said that Pakistan is committed in helping India stop terrorist activities and a statement like this goes against the same.
“India strongly condemns Pakistan’s interference in India’s internal affairs. The whole of Jammu and Kashmir, including the part illegally occupied by Pakistan is a part of India and we ill not tolerate Pakistan’s interference in its issues. We ask the national assembly of Pakistan to desist from making such comments in future,” says Kumar.
She warns Pakistan, amid loud hooting, that such incidents will not bode well for diplomatic relations between the two countries.
