ISLAMABAD, June 7: 26 member Federal cabinet would take oath of office today.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has picked 17 Federal Ministers and nine ministers of state for the cabinet.
The Federal Ministers include: 1. Gen Qadir Baloch, 2. Zahid Hamid, 3. Muhammad Ishaq Dar, 4. Shahid Khakan Abbassi, 5. Choudhry Nisar Ali Khan, 6. Rana Tanveer, 7. Pervez Rashid, 8. Kh. Asif, 9. Sardar Yousaf, 10. Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi, 11. Riaz Hussain Pirzada, 12. Ch. Barjees Tahir, 13. Kh Saad Rafuque, 14. Kamran Micheal, 15. Sadar-ud-din Rashdi, 16. Ahsan Iqbal, 17. Sikandar Bosan. Ministers of State include: 1. Mian Baligh-ur-Rehman, 2. Barrister Usman Ibrahim, 3. Engineer Khurram Dastgir, 4. Sheikh Aftab Ahmad, 5. Jam Kamal, 6. Abdul Hakeem Baloch, 7. Anusha Rehman, 8. Lieutenant-General (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch
Lieutenant-General (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch is a Pakistani politician and retired Pakistan Army general who served as the Governor of Balochistan in 2003.
Earlier, he served as the Corps Commander of Quetta before retiring prematurely to take up the post of governor. He elected as member of National Assembly in 2002 elections from NA-114 , Sialkot-V. Now, he has won the constituency of NA-271 Kharan Cum Washuk Cum Panjgor.
Zahid Hamid has been elected for his first term as MNA as a PML candidate. He served as Federal Minister for Privatization and Investment. Originally a member of the civil services of Pakistan and later an industrialist, Zahid Hamid Khan has extensively traveled to several regions of the World. As a lawyer, he has worked in the field of environmental law. He was principal drafts person of Pakistan Environmental Protection Act 1997. He won from NA-114 in General elections 2013.
Muhammad Ishaq Dar
Muhammad Ishaq Dar is the former Finance Minister of Pakistan and Minister for Economic Affairs and Statistics in the PM Yousaf Raza Gillani cabinet. He also served as the Commerce and Finance Minister in the Nawaz Sharif cabinet of 1997-1999. Ishaq Dar was assigned the finance ministry when Sartaj Aziz was posted as the Foreign Minister of Pakistan in 1998.
Ishaq Dar is also a central leader of PML-N and the parliamentary leader of PML-N in the current Senate session of 2006-2009. He was elected for the only time in the National Assembly in the 1997 general elections, when he won the NA-97 Lahore-VI general seat and in recent elections 2013 as well. Dar’s current Senate term expires in March 2018.
Mr. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi
Mr. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the Former Federal Minister for commerce.From 1997 to 1999, he remained the Chairman and chief executive officer of Pakistan International airlines (PIA), and remained the chief executive officer of airblue from 2003, to 2007.
On political side, the honorable Minister has elected to the National assembly of Pakistan six times since 1988 elections. From 1990 to 1993, he performed his duties as the chairman of National assembly Standing Committee on Defense. In the recent elections,he won from NA 50 Rawalpindi-I in Punjab.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was elected as MNA for his fifth term as a PML(N) candidate.
He has previously served as Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, and Provincial Coordinator during 1990 – 1993. From 1997 -1999, he was again Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister. He has served as Member National Assembly for the terms of 1985, 1988, 1990, 1993 and 1997. Nisar has won his seat from NA-52 in the recent elections.
Rana Tanveer Hussain
Rana Tanveer Hussain was the Minister of Defense Production in the Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani-led cabinet. He was son of Haji Muhammad Anwer who died in 2008. He was elected from Sheikhupura-I NA-131 as a member of National Assembly from Pakistan Muslim League (N).
Pervaiz A.Rasheed is Member of Senate and belong from PML-N.

Kh. Asif was elected for his third term as MNA from a PML(N) seat. He was previously elected as MNA for the terms of 1993 and 1997. He has also served as senator for the term of 1991-1993.
During 1997-1999, he held the portfolio of Chairman Privatisation Commission with the status of a federal minister. He elected as member of National Assembly in 2002 elections from NA-110 , Sialkot-I for the fifth consecutive time.
Sardar Shah Jehan Yousaf
Sardar Shah Jehan Yousaf was elected MNA on a PML(Q) seat.

Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi
Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi is a leader of NPP, he has recently made alliance with PML-N and became a member of National Assembly.
Riaz Hussain has been elected as MNA for his second term on an NA seat. He is politically affiliated with PML. He was previously elected as MNA for the term of 1993-1997. He has also served as MPA Punjab Assembly for the term of 1985-1988 and held the portfolio of Provincial Minister in 1988. He elected as member of National Assembly in 2002 elections from NA-186 , Bahawalpur-IV.
Ch. Muhammad Barjees Tahir
Ch. Muhammad Barjees Tahir is a prominent national politician and a parliamentarian from Pakistan Muslim League (N).
He was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan for the terms of 1990-1993, 1993-1997, and 1997-1999, and 2008-Present. At his tenure as MNA, many social, economical, educational and infrastructure developments were carried out in Sangla Hill and Sheikhupura. From 1990-1993, he served as Federal Parliamentary Secretary in the ministry of interior during Nawaz Sharif 1990-1993 government.
Khawaja Saad Rafique
Khawaja Saad Rafique has been elected as MNA for his first term. He is politically affiliated with PML(N) and holds the office of General Secretary of the party for the Punjab province. Khawaja Saad Rafique has served as MPA in Punjab Assembly for the term of 1997-1999. He also served as Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Youth Affairs during 1999. He elected as member of National Assembly in 2002 elections from NA-119 , Lahore-II.
Kamran Micheal was the member: Standing Committee on Colonies, Standing Committee on Tourism. He has been elected as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002 against one of the seats reserved for non-muslim minorities.
Sadar-Ud-din Rashidi belongs to Umerkot and affilted from PML-F, recently he did alliance with PML-N. His constituency was NA-235 Mirpurkhan Cum Umerkot.
Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary
Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary is a member of National Assembly and the former Federal Minister for Education (Pakistan). He is the Deputy Secretary General of the center-right party PML-N, and also a member of the Central Executive Committee of the party. He was elected as an MNA from his constituency NA-117 (Narowal-III) for the fourth time in the May 2013 elections and won. He served as a Federal Minister for Education in the coalition government of PPP, PML-N, ANP and JUI-F formed after 2008 elections.
Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan
Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan, born in Multan in 1958, has been elected as a PML(Q) candidate. During his political career, he has been elected Member of District Council Multan, Member of Punjab Provincial Assembly in 1985, 1988 and 1990 and MNA in 1997.Recently, he made alliance with PML-N.

Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan
Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan is politically affiliated with PML-N. He currently holds the office of Central Joint Secretary and is an ex officio member of the Central Working Committee of the party. He participated in drafting PML-N”s 2008 election manifesto as a member of the Policy Planning Committee. He was serving as Special assistant to Prime Minister at the time of the military coup.
