LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said the entire nation has to be united on one platform for facing the challenges being confronted by the motherland.
He was talking to a delegation of Sindh Assembly members visiting here on Wednesday.
The delegation comprises members of various political parties, including Pakistan People’s Party, Muttahida Quami Movement, Tehrik-e-Insaaf, Pakistan Muslim League (F) and minorities.
He said the centre and four provinces would have to evolve a joint strategy for overcoming terrorism, energy crisis and other problems. He said concrete and comprehensive measures would have to be taken for eradicating of the menace of corruption, poverty and unemployment.
He said Punjab is not the elder brother but one of four brothers which had set a example of provincial harmony and brotherhood for giving Rs 11 billion of its share to other provinces for the unanimous approval of the National Finance Commission which comes to Rs 55 billion in five years.
