ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Friday said maximum homework has been done on peace strategy in Karachi.
The government would evolve an anti-crime strategy for Karachi he said and added that important decision regarding the strategy would be taken in consensus with the political parties.
Talking to a private TV channel he said maximum homework had been completed regarding the operation in Karachi and added it would be supervised by the Chief Minister of Sindh.
Rashid said that federal security agencies would provide cooperation to the province for maintaining peace in the business hub of the country.
He said that government was working diligently for restoring peace in Karachi as Interior Minister had made many visits to the affected areas for examining the situation.
To a question, he said that action would be taken without any discrimination against the elements spreading unrest in the biggest city of the country.
To another question regarding dialogue with Taliban, the minister said that the government was indirectly contacting the elements like Taliban to restore peace and positive result is expected.
He said many people in the country were playing their role in this regard too.
Pervaiz Rashid said that government would utilize all options without shedding blood for ensuring national security and peace.
