KARACHI/LONDON: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has alleged that the ethnic cleansing of Mohajirs has once again been jump started in the name of clean up operation and appealed to the former party workers living in retreat and anonymity, to backtrack to the party.
In a statement on Thursday, the MQM chief termed the ongoing targeted operation in Karachi as replica of 1992 operation.
He said the MQM’s former workers should re-join the movement for the protection of honor of their mothers and sisters.
Privacy and honor, he noted, are being violated during these raids; hence, the old workers should approach Nine Zero to undauntedly brace themselves up for all trials like in past.
He said that that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government for another time is doing the ethnic cleansing of Muhajirs.
“Operation against MQM started under the umbrella of operation against criminals”, Altaf blamed. He said that the party would face the situation with courage.
“State oppression and genocide of Muhajir has been started once again”, he said.
He also directed the office-bearers of the party to raise their voice at every forum under the constitution and law about state oppression against the party.
Altaf asked the party workers to physically get ready to face state oppression.
