PESHAWAR: Former Interior Minister of Pakistan, Rehman Malik, was attacked by angry protesters in Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar on Monday where he came to visit injured victims of yesterday’s church blast.
During Rehman Malik’s visit to the hospital, demonstrators expressed their outrage by reaching to the former interior minister and attacked on him.
Malik initially tried to defend himself by trying to leave the hospital but the large number of angry crowd stopped him and he failed to flee from the location and speedily went inside the chief executive’s office in the hospital.
Police officials who were present at the hospital looked completely powerless to control the protestors belonging to the Christian community of Pakistan.
Protesters holding placards, pamphlets and shouting slogans against government officials and also against the terrorists involved in Peshawar attacks were demanding immediate arrest of people, who were behind the Peshawar Church blast.
