LAHORE: Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Chaudhry Barjees Tahir has said the government is committed to provide the best possible health and education facilities to the people.
Addressing a briefing in Lahore‚ he expressed concern over lack of health facilities in Gilgit jail and directed the Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan to look into the matter. He also sought report regarding health facilities in the jails of the region within a week.
The minister also visited the residence of shaheed Naveed‚ who laid down his life in Wazirstan while countering a suicide bomber‚ and offered condolence with his family. NNI
