PESHAWAR: After persisting blasts in Peshawar, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided of launching targeted operation in different parts of the city.
An emergency meeting of top officials of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held in Peshawar on Sunday, over law and order condition of the city.
Top officials of law enforcement agencies including police and Frontier Constabulary with provincial Home Secretary attended the meeting. The meeting decided of launching targeted operation in different parts of Peshawar.
KP’s Home Secretary, Akhtar Ali Shah, said during media briefing after end of the meeting that Peshawar city is being divided into four zones to improve law and order situation.
A separate Quick-Response Force will be formed for each zone of the city to take immediate action over any blunder, told the Home Secretary.
A task force has been formed at the provincial level to tackle emergencies, he added, saying representatives of all security agencies including Home Department, police, army, FC, and others will be included into that.
