LAHORE: Relief Commissioner Punjab Nadeem Ashraf said three more temporary hospitals have been set up in flood hit area, raising the number of such facilities to 21.
“All the basic facilities, including medicines, are available free of cost in these hospitals,” he added.
While talking to APP here on Tuesday, he said the government is providing every possible relief to the displaced families, adding that some 34 model villages will be constructed for flood-affected families, which will be completed early next year.
Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has worked very hard to ensure relief to flood-stricken people and has directed all the departments concerned to remain active in this regard, he said.
He highlighted that hefty amounts have been set aside for repair of roads and other infrastructure in flood-hit areas of the province.
