ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid on Monday hoped All Parties Conference (APC) would yield positive results for maintaining peace in the country.
He said that many personalities could play their role in the dialogue process with Taliban; however, the government would take decision regarding the reservations and concerns of Taliban.
Talking to a private TV channel, Rashid said that it was a good sign that all parties participated in the APC and came up with same agenda of restoring peace and protection of the people.
Replying to a query, the minister said that the government and Taliban should continue dialogue setting aside any conspiracy against the peace process.
Replying to another question, he said that it was proposed in the APC to hold another such meeting on the Balochistan issue. The government was committed to resolve all the issues of province, he added.
He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had declared resolving issues of terrorism, economic revival and Balochistan as national agenda.
Regarding the kidnaping of a journalist in Karachi, Pervaiz Rashid said that the Sindh Chief Minister should take action against the culprits involved in the incident.
