ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and PPP’s opposition leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah have failed to agee upon name of new NAB Chairman today, media reports.
Khursheed Shah called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the PM House, Islamabad this day to exchange views over appointment of new NAB Chairman.
Khursheed Shah presented name of Justice (retd) Ajmal Mian as PM Sharif did not approve name of Justice (retd) Sardar Raza Khan.
The PPP leader said on the occasion while talking to media, after meeting, that the Prime Minister did not present any name from his side for appointment and assured of mulling over name of Justice (retd) Ajmal Mian.
While replying to a question over peace talks with Taliban, Shah said the opposition and military leadership has handed over choice of talks with Taliban to the government and now it is up to the regime to make any choice.
Khursheed Shah told that the premiere has informed him about Talibans’ demand to withdraw troops from FATA and other areas.
“PM Sharif has told that the regime has not given any task of dialogue with Taliban to Jawed Paracha and no contact was made or held any meeting with him after 1997,” he added.
“I have demanded the PM to make electoral reforms and amend role of the interim CMs and PM under those,” told the opposition leader.
Khursheed Shah will call on PM Nawaz Sharif at 9.00am tomorrow for further talks over appointment of NAB Chairmen
