FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) head Imran Khan urged small farmers to stand up for their rights and press the government to control inflation, media reported on Friday.
Speaking at a farmers’ convention here, Khan said production cost is increasing, but farmers are not being paid for their hard work. He said Mian brothers need to extend financial support to small farmers to overcome poverty.
“Rich and poor are buying diesel at a same price in Pakistan,” he noted, adding that tax is being collected from people in the form of increasing prices of oil and electricity.
The PTI chief said that his government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would transfer the power at grass-root level.
There will be a clear difference in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he pledged.
