Prime Minister’s advisor on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that Pakistan would continue focusing the issue of border management with Afghanistan to ensure peace in the two countries.
Talking to media in London with reference to the Pak-Afghan trilateral meeting hosted by British Prime Minster David Cameron on Oct 29th, Aziz said effective border management was crucial to keep a check on cross-border activity, influx of refugees and the safe havens of terrorists.
He said the trilateral meeting focused on peace and reconciliation, border management and economic cooperation.
He said Pakistan would lay stress on how to improve border management during the upcoming visit of Afghan interior minister to Pakistan in near future.
He mentioned that the meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Afghan President Hamid Karzai in Islamabad in August also boosted the relationship between the two countries.
