ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed matters relating to government’s decision to hold peace talks with Taliban.
The two leaders exchanged views on starting formal peace talks with the Taliban.
In addition to planned agenda, two leaders also mulled over prevailing law and order situation in Karachi, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The prime minister took Maulana Fazlur Rehman into confidence about his upcoming visit to the United States.
Rehman, on the other hand, appreciated the political consensus over talks with Taliban.
