KARACHI: The leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Altaf Hussain has said that Hakeem-ul-Ummat, poet of the East Allama Iqabl was free from bias on basis of religious beliefs and ethnic prejudices.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Altaf Hussain said that the Allama respected all religions and beliefs. He expressed his views on this aspect in his universal poetry in a number of instances.
On the 136th birth anniversary of Allama Iqbal, he said, “Allama Iqbal was not only a poet but he was an eminent lawyer, politician and Sufi too. Everyone admires and appreciates his teaching and social services”.
