KABUL: Pakistan and Afghanistan on Saturday reiterated their resolve to further strengthen bilateral ties and continue efforts to eliminate terrorism faced by both the countries.
Addressing a joint press conference here after one-on-one and delegation level talks with Afghan President Hamid Karzai, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan would continue to extend all possible support for the betterment of Afghan people.
He said stable and peaceful Afghanistan was in Pakistan’s own interest and both the countries were striving to establish peace.
Hamid Karzai said he desired to see Pakistan and Afghanistan free from terrorism and that PM Nawaz Sharif’s visit will help strengthen the bilateral ties.
He said Afghanistan wanted strong economic ties with Pakistan.
