BAHAWALPUR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, on Monday visited Pakistan army’s Azm-e-Nau 4 field exercise near Bahawalpur town of Punjab, media reported.
PM Nawaz Sharif was chief guest of the event.
The army chief, during his visit to the field exercise, zme Nau 4, met soldiers and senior army officers and witnessed military drills at the conclusion of Azm-e-Nau 4 exercise.
The Pakistan Army’s artillery and soldiers demonstrated the power of defence and attack with anti-tank missiles and short-range weapons.
The Pak Air Force F-16, JF-17 Thunder and gunship helicopters successfully hit their targets during the drills.
The PM addressed the gathering and expressed his confidence that Pakistan army is capable of safeguarding the country at any front.
He expressed his resolve the defeat the terrorism, and stressed the need that all political forces should be on same page about dealing with the militancy and extremism.
