ISLAMABAD: Former Interior Minister Senator Rehman Malik on Tuesday said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would support the government’s anti-terrorism policy.
Talking to media outside the parliament, he said, “We are with government on all national issues and will support it on anti-terrorism policy.”
He said that PPP will also support the government’s policy on drone attacks.
“We believe that drone attacks are violation of the country’s sovereignty and we will support whatever the stance of the government on drone issue.”
The Senator said Pakistan has no agreement with US on drone attacks. He said anti-state forces are trying to destabilize the country and present situation demanded of the nation to get united.
To a question, he said PPP government had also started dialogue with Taliban but at that time their demands were not acceptable to the government.
To another question, Rehman Malik said he respects the court and will continue to do so in future too.
