PESHAWAR: Chairman Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao here on Wednesday said that his party would sit on Opposition benches if the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa did not take them in confidence.
Addressing a press conference, the former interior minister said that his party has formally submitted an application to this effect to the Speaker Provincial Assembly. Accusing the PTI-led government in the province, Sherpao said that his party’s ministers were sacked from the cabinet without providing an evidence which they must have brought before going for their dismissal. He announced in clear terms that the are also bringing corruption charges against the PTI government.
Chief of QWP complained that being an ally of ruling coalition, his party was not taken into confidence on issues of NATO supply, CCI meeting, and opening of Taliban office during the last five months.
He said that all the orders to the PTI government in the province are issued from Banigala, adding that had Imran Khan any complaint against his minister, he should have contacted him.
The QWP cheif said that law and order situation in the province was not satisfactory and as such no development work was started.
