ISLAMABAD: Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has urged the nation to forge unity among its ranks for ensuring peace and harmony in the country.
In his message on the advent of Moharram-ul-Haram, the Speaker underlined the need for shunning all types of differences and supplement government efforts for ensuring peace.
The Speaker said, “Islam is the religion of peace, love and tolerance and abhor all forms of sectarianism, extremism and prejudices.”
He called upon Ulema and religious scholars to play their due role and influence to create religious harmony and spread the true message of Islam.
“Let us resolve to give up our differences and get united to develop a comprehensive strategy for combating terrorism and eliminating sectarianism, militancy and extremism from the country” the Speaker said.
