ABBOTTABAD: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Hazara Division, Akhtar Hayat Gandapur Friday awarded Rs 3 million cash to the family of the martyred police driver and ordered to induct his son in police department.
DIG awarded this amount while visiting the martyr’s native home for expressing his condolences and offered fateha.
The police constable lost his life three days back when two remote control planted bombs exploded at Jail road Mansehra and injured seven others including 2 police men and five civilians.
District Police Officer Mansehra Khurrum Rasheed while talking to APP said that police had arrested 31 suspect after the bomb explosions however all were released.
He further said that investigations are continuing and “we have found some clues about the incident and soon we will make them public.
Police have registered two FIR’s against unknown terrorists PPC-302-324-427-6/7-ATA3/4EXP and 6/7ATA-EXP/3/4-PPC-427.
Replying to a question DPO said that terrorists activities were expected, although we took all precautionary measures for any untoward situation in the district.
