ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid said on Friday that Pakistan was bound to abide by the agreements signed with other countries.
“He said if we do not fulfill our responsibilities in this regard, it will send a wrong message to the world”, he said while talking to media persons after attending a Christmas related function here.
He said we should respect and implement agreements with other countries and NATO comprised over three dozen countries.
Pervaiz Rashid said business loans under the Prime Minister’s Business Loans will be provided on merit and there was no quota of any including the Prime Minister.
He said it is a transparent programme for those who have qualified for this and have viable business plan.
“Prime Minister’s Business Loans is not for any specific political party” he said adding the youth should take benefit of Business Loans and start their own business to support their families and provide employment to others.
He said the conditions of getting the loans have been made easy. One should have only ten percent of the amount, he is going to obtain as loan and only one guarantee is required.
The Information Minister said PML(N) Government had also run schemes including Yellow Cab and provision of Laptops to the students by the Punjab Government and none of its worst critics accused it of favoring party workers.
He said the Federal Government would also launch Laptop scheme which will be provided to the talented students throughout Pakistan, AJK, FATA and Gilgit Baltistan.
To a question he said that “Sasti roti” sachems was not ended by the government,rather its funds were diverted to flood affected areas at that time.
The Minister said the government has minimized load-shedding in very short time soon after assuming power.
He said due to polices of the government many investors are investing in power projects.
“We are taking steps to create more jobs opportunities for the common people in the country” he added.
He said transparency had been ensured in Yellow and laptop schemes as their critics had not challenged the transparency these schemes.
