LAHORE: Law Minister Punjab Rana Sanaullah Khan on Monday said strict security measures had been adopted to ward off any unpleasant incident on the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
Talking to media at the Aitchison College Lahore, he said, the country was facing serious challenges of terrorism and extremism and under the prevailing situation there was dire
need of unity and solidarity in the society.
He said, according to comprehensive security plan devised by the administrations of respective districts, all law enforcing institutions would be on red alert to ensure
that Chehlum processions and Majalis are held in a peaceful atmosphere.
He said, four tier security cordon would be established around the processions.
The Minister disclosed that strict legal action would be taken against those making provocative speeches. He said, law-enforcing agencies had already carried out search operations at hotels, guest house and inns.
