ISLAMABAD: Special court has rejected the request of Former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf to leave abroad for medical treatment and issued a bail-able warrant for the former president, Aaj News reports.
According to a statement, Musharraf has no genuine problem for not attending the hearings.
The verdict was headed by Registrar of Supreme Court Abdul Ghani Soomro on the basis of Musharraf’s 4-paged medical report. The verdict issued in Musharraf’s case included that the warrant is bail-able and Musharraf will be granted release after the submission of 2.5 million.
The court has advised the IG of Islamabad to follow orders issued by the court. The hearing for treason trial case was further postponed till February 7th.
