KARACHI: At least two persons have been killed including a Rangers personnel and several others sustained injuries, including Aaj News cameraman, police and Rangers personnel, in three back-to-back blasts, occurred at Nazimabad, Aaj News reported.
According to police sources, the first blast was hand grenade, which took place near a patrolling vehicle of Rangers parked near Board office in Nazimabad. After five minutes, remote control explosion took place at the same site where police, rescue teams and Rangers were busy in rescuing the injured.
However, the third and the most recent blast was occurred near Rangers Headquarters.
According to CID official sources, the third blast was suicide attack, which took place near Rangers Headquarter, adding that head and other body parts of the bomber have been recovered.
During live coverage of blasts, Aaj News cameraman Sajid Kamal got badly beaten up by the Rangers officials and was stopped to cover the story. However, the cameraman has been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an immediate treatment.
