SUKKUR: An explosion on the railway tracks at Unar Wah Station, near Tangwani, district Kandhkot- Kashmore, derailed four bogies of Peshawar-bound Khushhal Khan Khattak Express killing six persons and 15 others injured on Sunday.
The train was going to Peshawar from Karachi when it was hit by the blast near Unar Wah village in Tangwani, Kandhkot-Kashmore district. According to the local police, a minor boy Muhamamd Hussain (8), Juman Golo ( 60 ), Ali Hassan (09) and three others were killed and at least 15 other passengers injured in the incident.
Eight of them are in serious condition and have been admitted to Kashmore and Tangwani hospitals.
Kahmore police and the rescue teams have reached the blast site and started their operation.
Meanwhile , technical teams of Sukkur were engaged in restoring the damaged track.
Pakistan Railways officials said that the passengers of the train were being transported to Kashmore by vehicles of police, rescue agencies and others.
