ISLAMABAD: First dialogue session of peace talks between two committees, nominated by the federal government and the Pakistani Taliban, is held today on Tuesday in Islamabad.
According to the coordinator of government committee Irfan Siddqui, this session has been called in at 12:00 PM in which discussions among the two parties will take place. He also mentioned that this session will take place in a packed room with complete security. According to him, legitimate discussions in the meeting will take place after 2:00 PM.
Jamat-e-Islami Professor Ibrahim, Chief of Jmiat-ul-Ulema-e-Islam (S) Mualna Sami-ul-Haq, Jamiat-e-Ulema-Islam (F) Mufti Kifayatullah and Maualana Abdul Aziz are representing from the side of Taliban’s negotiation committee whereas, Irfan Siddiqui, Senior Journalist Rahimullah Yousaf Zai, Major (retd) Aamir and former Delegate Rustam Shah Mohmand will represent from the government negotiation committee.
