KARACHI: Two people have been injured as a result of a massive blast occurred at Gurumandir targeting Aaj Tv’s Head office here on Monday evening, Aaj News reports.
According to CCTV footage, two unidentified men riding motorbike flung a hand grenade at Aaj Tv’s office located at Gurumandir. The guard’s check post was the target of the attack.
Police and Rangers cordoned off the area soon after the incident while rescue teams reached the site immediately.
Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah took notice of the incident, sought a detailed report from Additional Inspector General Karachi and ordered an immediate arrest of the terrorists involved in the incident.
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that terror attacks like these cannot intimidate the media.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Former president Asif Zardari, Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat ul Ibad and other religious and political leaders have strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Aaj Tv’s Head office.
