ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Chairperson Prime Minister Youth Programme Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting on Prime Minister Youth Programme here at Prime Minister House.
The meeting was attended by a young women parliamentarian along with Federal Secretary Finance and heads of other departments concerned, said a press release.
During the meeting, the authorities concerned screened detailed presentation on five schemes of Prime Minister Youth Programme, which include Prime Minister Laptop Scheme for talented youth, Prime Minister Fee Reimbursement Scheme for the needy students, Prime Minister Youth Skill Development Scheme, Prime Minister Qarz-e-Hasna Scheme and Prime Minister Youth Internship scheme.
On this occasion, Ishaq Dar and Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed the relevant departments to improve execution mechanism of all these schemes, besides taking all necessary measures to ensure their effectiveness and transparency.
They also stressed upon the need to further improve their eligibility criteria in such a way that only best deserving people could benefit from these schemes.
Speaking on the catchment area of these schemes, they added these schemes must include remote and under-developed areas in their operation, because the Prime Minister was specially focused on the development of far-flung areas so that they could be integrated into mainstream development agenda of the country.
They also gave a go-ahead for the early execution of Prime Minister Laptop Scheme for talented youth, Prime Minister Fee Reimbursement Scheme for the needy students, Prime Minister Youth Skill Development Scheme and directed the authorities concerned to devise a better implementation mechanism for Prime Minister Qarz-e-Hasna Scheme, and Prime Minister Youth Internship scheme.
