FAISALABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) meeting is held today (Monday) to discuss over the strategies and decisions regarding representing Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
According to the sources, TTP has asked JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Jamat-e-Islami (JI) leader Professor Ibrahim and other specific leaders to join their team to hold peace talks with the government on its behalf.
According to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, diplomatic sources should be used to bring America on a mutual stage for peace talks with Taliban. While talking to media, he said. ” There is need of peace not war in the country. Peace talks with Taliban should be started as soon as possible.”
Professor Ibrahim of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) who is playing a mediator role in the peace talks with Taliban said that he will act as a Salis-e-Khair (intermediary for a good cause).
