ISLAMABAD: Former Interior Minister Senator Rehman Malik on Tuesday asked the government to come up with clear counter terrorism policy.
Talking to media outside the parliament, he appreciated the government’s sincere efforts for bringing peace through dialogue. However, he said, Taliban was not sincere to take forward the peace process.
He strongly condemned terrorist activates and said dialogue and terrorism cannot go along.
Rehman Malik said anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan elements are involved in terrorists’ activities.
The Senator said the groups involved in the terrorist activities in the country are taking financial assistance from the foreign countries.
He asked the government to start Swat like operation against the terrorists.
He also appreciated MQM for arranging solidarity rally with Pakistan Army and said the whole nation stood with the Army.
