KARACHI: MQM announces a mourning day on Saturday regretting the judicial killings and arrests of their party members. However, PPP’s chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari requested the party to take it back, Aaj News reports.
All the members and officials of MQM party will wear a black band to record the protest.
According to the press conference at Nine-Zero, the Rabita Committee member Haider Abbas Rizvi said that MQM is not against the targeted operations but because of such operations, most of the party workers have been arrested on suspicion without any proven charges.
He also said that many of the party workers are missing since months and no action has been taken by the authorities. “Our party workers have sacrificed their lives for protecting and safeguarding the rights of the country,” says Haider Abbas.
He further added that there is an intense need to look over the strategies on which the authorities are arresting innocent people and our party workers.
