ISLAMABAD: Special Court led by three-member-bench and Justice Faisal Arab has rejected all the plea of Former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in regard to the treason trial case, whereas the hearing was postponed till March 11, Aaj News reports.
According to the reports, suspected guilt’s will be charged in the Special Court against Musharraf on treason trial case. The Special Court has also rejected the request to shift the case to the Military Court.
Musharraf retired in 2007, he is therefore not a part of army, so the case could not be proceeded under Army Act, the court said that the Army Act of 1977 was repealed in 1981, therefore, under the law only the special court, is subjected to hear the case to high treason under Article 6 of the Constitution.
According to the previous records there has been altogether 23 hearings on the treason trial case in the Special Court from which Musharraf has attended only one.
