ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Water and Power Ch. Abid Sher Ali Tuesday said that on-going coal projects were ecologically friendly.
He was talking in a meeting with Ambassador of Poland Andrzej Ananicz who called on him here.
During the meeing he said Pakistan had lots of opportunities for coal fired power plant and added it was vision of Prime Minister was to overcome energy crisis on war footings to make the country energy rich.
On the occasion ambassador of Poland Andrzej Ananicz said that Poland is producing 90% of its energy from coal fired power plants. It gradually converted all plants from oil into coal and introduce latest technology, he added.
He also informed that group of investors who were interested to invest in coal power plants of Pakistan would visit next month. He further offered technical support and capacity building for Pakistani experts.
Minister of State for Water and Power thanked the Ambassador for his visit and offered support to energy sector of Pakistan.
