NOWSHERA: Co-ordinator Taliban Committee and Provincial Amir JUI(S) Maulana Yusaf Shah on Tuesday said that Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has fully empowered Maulana Samiul Haq to take any decision regarding the peace process.
He said Taliban would accept whatever decision, taken by Maulana Samiul Haq in this regard.
In an interview with APP Correspondent at Darul Uloom Haqqqania, he said that “we do not want any deadlock in the peace talks as operation was no solution to the problem.”
Therefore, the negotiation process should continue, he said, and added “we have consulted Taliban political Shura on various issues and the peace process would be taken forward in the next round of the meeting with the government team.
Maulana Yusaf Shah claimed that majority groups of Taliban are willing to hold talks and continue the peace process. The remaining one or two factions, would also be persuaded to agree on the issue, he added.
He said that utmost efforts should be made to avoid using the force and carrying out operation.
“We have detailed discussion with the TTP about the gruesome killing of 23 FC troops and attack on Karachi police by TTP Mohmand Agency group”, he said.
Maulana Yousuf Shah said “They have briefed us in detail and it would be brought to the notice of the government team whenever we have an opportunity of meeting with them.”
He said Taliban wanted meaningful talks with the government.
