ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed has said that army troops will not be sent to any other country, adding that Government was making regular progress on peace process and the negotiation committee was completely empowered, Aaj News reported
Addressing to a ceremony organized on the release of a report by the Media Commission, he said that all the recommendations proposed by the commission will be looked upon and implemented.
He added that out of the two primary demands made by the journalists; to abolish the Information Ministry and the secret fund allocated within the ministry, he said the former could not be accepted.
He revealed that a bill regarding the access to information was under review and soon would be presented in the National Assembly for voting.
He dispelled the rumors that Pakistan was planning to attack any country, saying that such statements were an attempt to tarnish the country’s image.
