KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed the Chairmen of all Provincial Education Boards, and districts administration to ensure transparent for smooth and peaceful conduct of forthcoming annual examination of matriculation and intermediate, commencing from April 2.
He also directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to prepare an effective contingency plan for the security of the students and staff engaged in the examination centre with special focus on the sensitive examination centres in Karachi and other areas of the province.
This he directed while presiding over a meeting of the Chairmen of all Educational Boards of the province administration of the respective areas and Education department officials.
The meeting which was also facilitated with video conference was attended among others by Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Secretary to CM for Universities and Boards Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, ACS Education Fazullah Pechuho, principal Secretary to CM Rai Sikandar, Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Siddiqui and acting IG Police Sindh Iqbal Mehmood while Commissioners of Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Mirpurkhas who briefed the meeting about the arrangements and security plan for upcoming examinations in their respective divisions through video link.
He asked the officials to take strict action against the officers who support the students in using unfair means.
Sindh Chief Minister directed the IG Police to adopt effective measure for the foolproof security of the students and invigilation staff across the province.
Senior Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro while briefing the meeting said that several meetings have been held with the Education officers and Board officials for smooth and transparent conduct of the examination. He said that unfairness will be discouraged at all level.
