KHANEWAL: Police arrested three accused after a van driver accompanying over two dozen accomplices attacked a marriage party on a bus, leaving six persons including three women and a child injured on Friday.
According to police, a bus carrying a marriage party was on way to Khanewal from Kot Momin and the bus crew had an exchange of arguments with a van driver.
The van driver contacted his accomplices by phone who reached the spot, forced their entry into the bus and attacked the members of the marriage party with clubs and iron
Three women, a child and two persons sustained injuries and were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police reached the spot and arrested Muhammad Anwar, Mehboob Alam and Murtaza, all residents of nearby village, Chak 163/10-R. Other fifteen accused, however, managed to escape. Khanewal Sadar police have registered an FIR and started investigations.
