ISLAMABAD: Head of Taliban negotiating Committee, Sami-ul-Haq, has said that meeting between the Taliban and Government Committees is expected to be held within next two days, Aaj News reported
He expressed that Army was completely backing the dialogue process and criticized the Defense Minister for giving baseless statements.
Talking to media men after attending the Ulema Convention, Sami-ul-Haq, Head of Taliban Committee said that venue for the meeting with the Taliban was still not confirmed, adding that Taliban wanted the meeting place to be a ‘Free Zone’. The two sides are likely to meet within the next two days.
He further said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has assured his complete support for the peace process and the Army was also not in opposition of the dialogue.
He criticized the Defense Minister for making statements in favor of the operation, which he said would be disastrous for the country.
