ISLAMABAD: Treason trial case charged against former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf was dismissed by the Registrar of the Special Court, Abdul Ghani Soomro because of the boycott of all Judges, Advocates and Lawyers from the court regarding the Islamabad District Court incident, Aaj News reported.
According to the sources, Musharraf’s treason trail case was suspended till tomorrow due to Islamabad District Court incident in which 12 renowned people were killed and 30 others were injured.
Advocates handling Musharraf’s case showed their concerns regarding the security measures and dismissed Musharraf’s hearing today. It is pertinent to know that today’s hearing was being scheduled after ten days.
Advocate of Musharraf, Ahmed Kasuri, while talking to media said that the lawyers and Advocates are not safe. The incident which happened yesterday is a proof to it. He also mentioned that the militants can even attack the Special Court.
According to the sources, the court will go over certain important hearings tomorrow and it is expected to cancel off all the hearing for the upcoming weeks.
