DHAKA: Pakistan beat Bangladesh by three wickets in an over-thrilling contest of the Asia Cup 2014 at Mirpur.
Shahid Afridi smashed seven sixes, two fours and made 59 of 25-balls which helped Pakistan get over a 327-run target in 49.5 overs.
Pakistan pulled of an absolute heist to win this game chasing 327 runs. Shehzad was the top run getter for Pakistan scoring a hundred. But it was Fawad Alam and Shahid Afridi’s heroics in the last 10 overs that brought Pakistan home. This win from Pakistan have ended India’s chances to play in the final.
Ahmed Shehzad scored a hundred and kept Pakistan on the track in their chase of 327. But after he got out, Afridi has taken control of the game scoring 37 runs in 13 balls by the end of 44 overs. Pakistan need 62 runs in last 6 overs to win this game and seal their place in the final of the Asia Cup.
