Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reiterated on Wednesday that drone attacks are against the sovereignty of Pakistan. He said the world knows that he never endorsed drone strikes. Talking to media persons after attending The Hague Nuclear Summit, the Prime Minister said the country is heading towards prosperity and betterment.
The Prime Minister said economic indicators are getting better day by day and the overall economic situation has improved since his party came into power. Nawaz Sharif said foreign investment has started coming in and Pakistan’s rupee is gaining strength against dollar.
He hoped that the load-shedding issue would gradually be resolved. The PM said some 21,000 megawatt electricity would be added to the national grid during the next seven to eight years. Nawaz said the government has initiated a dialogue process with Taliban to bring lasting peace and economic stability in the country. He hoped the peace talks would bear fruits soon as there are signs of progress.
